The Bridal Cottage Blog

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

-Lee Greenwood

Every day I drive into work I try to remember the most amazing time in my life...the day I married my best friend.  I try to reconnect with those feelings of joy and sheer happiness...not only on the day of my wedding, but also the day that I found my wedding dress!  I want to be able to relate with the brides that walk through The Bridal Cottage door and do my very best to find them that special gown.

But today's drive was different.  I thought about much more than just The Bridal Cottage.  I thought about how I was able to get here--the dream I've had for so long about owning my own business.  And now that dream has come true!  But it's not just because of me, it's because of those men and women who over the many years have sacrificed so much for us...for American's...to have the freedom to make choices and have our dreams come true.

So this weekend, I will take the time to think about those who died for us to have so many of the freedoms we have today--that has allowed me and given me the opportunity to be a part of something that I love, to own a signature business that has made so many ladies happy for so many years, and I am honored to continue that tradition.

To those who have given themselves for all Americans, for me...thank you for letting me dream and turn my dream into reality...I salute you.
